أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌۭ

They asked why the message came to him alone, and called him a boastful liar.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does name-calling make people feel?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What names did Thamud call Salih?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people call names when they have no good answer?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qamar is surah 54. Find ayah 25. The key word ashir means boastful and arrogant. When Thamud had no good answer, they called Salih a liar and a show-off. Name-calling never makes someone wrong; it only shows that the caller has run out of reasons.
Fact: How do hurtful names affect the person who hears them?
Ages 5–8: Kind names. Think of a kind nickname for each person in your family.
Ages 9–12: Better answers. Write three things to say instead of calling someone a name when you disagree.
Finish with: "I found that hurtful names make people feel ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use people's names kindly and never mock."
