4-I guide
While you amuse yourselves carelessly?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How much screen time is too much?"
Watch the Glucose Guy video How Much Screen Time is Too Much.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How were these people spending their time?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I have fun without forgetting what matters?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Najm is surah 53. Find ayah 61. The key word samidun means amusing yourselves heedlessly. Fun and play are fine, but being lost in amusement all the time makes us forget Allah and important things. Balance helps: play, learn, pray and help.
Fact: How much daily screen time do doctors recommend for children?
Ages 5–8: Fun list. Make a list of fun things to do without a screen.
Ages 9–12: Time balance. Track your screen time for three days and set a healthy goal.
Finish with: "I found that doctors recommend about ___ of screen time."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will swap thirty minutes of screens for something active or kind."
Action: Swap thirty minutes of screens for something active or kind.
