4-I guide
It is He who makes people laugh and makes them cry.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do we laugh?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video Why Do We Laugh?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who gives us laughter and tears?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah give us feelings?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Najm is surah 53. Find ayah 43. The key words adhaka wa abka mean He makes laugh and makes weep. Laughter helps us feel close to others and relaxes our bodies. Tears help us let out sadness. Both are gifts from Allah, and both have their time.
Fact: What happens in our bodies when we laugh?
Ages 5–8: Feelings faces. Make a happy face and a sad face, and name a time you felt each one.

Finish with: "I found that laughing helps our body by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make someone laugh kindly and comfort someone who is sad."
Action: Make someone laugh kindly and comfort someone who is sad.
