4-I guide
Praise Him in part of the night and as the stars fade away.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Where do the stars go in the daytime?"
Watch the Donut Trivia video Why Don't We See Stars in the Daytime?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "At what two times are we told to praise Allah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is the time before dawn so special?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 49, the last ayah. The key words idbar an-nujum mean the stars turning away. As dawn comes, the sky brightens and the stars seem to vanish, though they are still there. This is around the time of fajr. The surah ends by asking us to praise Allah at night and at dawn.
Fact: Why can't we see the stars during the day?
Ages 5–8: Fajr watch. With a grown-up, look at the sky before fajr and again after sunrise.
Ages 9–12: Comic strip. Retell Surah At-Tur in five boxes: oaths, warning, Jannah, questions, praise at dawn.
Finish with: "I found that we can't see stars by day because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will wake for fajr and say subhanallah while the stars fade."
Action: Wake for fajr and say subhanallah while the stars fade.
