Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Could anyone climb high enough to hear secrets from the heavens?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 38. The key word sullam means ladder or stairway. No one can climb up to hear what Allah decides. Even our tallest rockets only reach a little way into space. Knowledge of the unseen comes only through revelation.

Ages 5–8: Paper ladder. Make a paper ladder and mark how high a plane, a cloud and a rocket go.

Ages 9–12: Height chart. Draw a chart from the ground to space with five labelled heights.
