أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ
'Am' khalaqū ssamāwāti wal-'ar'ḍa . bal llā yūqinūna
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.

Did they create the skies and the earth, when they are sure of nothing at all?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What is bigger, the solar system or a galaxy?"
Watch the MooMooMath and Science video Solar System vs Galaxy vs Universe.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do the deniers lack, according to the ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How big is everything Allah has made?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 36. The key words la yuqinun mean they have no certainty. No person made the sky or the earth. Our solar system sits inside a galaxy of billions of stars, and there are billions of galaxies. Thinking about this size is a sign to ponder.
Fact: What is the name of the galaxy we live in?
Ages 5–8: Nesting circles. Draw a small circle for Earth, a bigger one for the solar system and a huge one for the galaxy.
Ages 9–12: Scale model. Use a grain of rice for Earth and work out how big the sun would be.
Finish with: "I found that our galaxy is called ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look at the night sky once and think about how great Allah is."
Action: Look at the night sky.
