Fal'ya''tū biḥadīthin mmith'lihī 'in kānū ṣādiqīna

Then let them bring speech like it, if they are telling the truth.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you think is special about the Arabic language?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What challenge does Allah give?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Has anyone ever met the Quran's challenge?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 34. The key words bi-hadithin mithlihi mean speech like it. The Arabs were masters of language, yet no one could produce anything like the Quran. The challenge is still open today, more than fourteen hundred years later.
Fact: How many letters are there in the Arabic alphabet?
Ages 5–8: Letter hunt. Find and point to five Arabic letters on a page of the mushaf.
Ages 9–12: Root words. Find three Arabic words that come from the root k-t-b and what each means.
Finish with: "I found that the Arabic alphabet has ___ letters."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the meaning of one new Arabic word from the Quran each day."
Action: Learn one Quran word daily.
