Or do they claim he made it up, when really they refuse to believe?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How did the Quran first come to the Prophet?"
Watch the Muslim Nation Builders video Story of Quran Revelation.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did some people claim about the Quran?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do we know the Quran is from Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 33. The key word taqawwalahu means he made it up. Some people said the Prophet invented the Quran. But he could not read or write, and the Quran came to him bit by bit over twenty-three years, always without a single contradiction. The real problem was that they did not want to believe.
Fact: Over how many years was the Quran revealed?
Ages 5–8: Revelation timeline. Draw a line and mark Makkah and Madinah on it.
Ages 9–12: First and last. Find out which ayat were revealed first and write them in your own words.
Finish with: "I found that the Quran was revealed over ___ years."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will read or listen to the Quran for five minutes every day."
Action: Read or listen to the Quran for five minutes every day.
