فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
Faway'lun llilladhīna kafarū min yaw'mihimu -lladhī yūʻadūna
Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised!

Ruin awaits the disbelievers on the Day they have been promised.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If you came to a fork in the road, how would you choose the right path?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How does the surah end?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I stay on the right path every day?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 60, the last ayah. The key word yawmihim means their Day. The surah began with winds and a true promise, and ends by reminding us that the promised Day will come. Every day we choose our path, and Allah's mercy is always there for those who turn to Him.
Fact: How many stories of earlier peoples are in Surah Adh-Dhariyat?
Ages 5–8: Path map. Draw two paths and fill the right one with good deeds.
Ages 9–12: Surah web. Make a mind map of Surah Adh-Dhariyat: winds, signs, Ibrahim's guests, the peoples, the purpose of life.
Finish with: "I found that the surah tells ___ stories of earlier peoples."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one good deed every day for my promised Day."
Action: Do one good deed every day for your promised Day.
