And keep reminding, for reminders help the believers.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does your brain hold on to things you need to remember?"
Watch the LearningWorks for Kids video What is Working Memory?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who benefits from reminders?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do we forget good things so easily?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 55. The key word adh-dhikra means the reminder. Even though some people turned away, the Prophet was told to keep reminding, because believers benefit. Our memories are busy, so gentle reminders help us remember what matters.
Fact: What is working memory?
Ages 5–8: Reminder notes. Make sticky notes with kind reminders, like "Say bismillah", and put them around the house.
Ages 9–12: Memory test. Try to remember a list of ten words, then try again using a trick like a story.
Finish with: "I found that working memory is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will set one helpful reminder for myself every day."
Action: Set one helpful reminder for yourself every day.
