إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًۭا ۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٌۭ قَوْمٌۭ مُّنكَرُونَ
'Idh' dakhalū ʻalay'hi faqālū salāman . qāla salāmun qaw'mun mmunkarūna
Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people."

Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you say when you meet someone?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What word did the guests and Ibrahim both say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is salam such a special greeting?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 25. The key word salam means peace. The guests greeted Ibrahim with peace, and he answered with peace, even though they were strangers. Greeting with salam spreads peace and friendship among people.
Fact: What does assalamu alaikum mean in English?
Ages 5–8: Salam count. Count how many people you greet with salam today.
Ages 9–12: Greeting survey. Ask family members how they greet people and what it means.
Finish with: "I found that assalamu alaikum means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say salam first whenever I meet someone I know."
Action: Say salam first whenever you meet someone you know.
