4-I guide
They ask, mockingly, when the Day of reckoning will be.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is there a difference between a curious question and a mocking one?"
Watch the My Bedtime Stories video The Little Book of Patience.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question do they keep asking?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't they get ready instead of asking when?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 12. The key word ayyana means when. The deniers asked when the Day would be, not to learn but to make fun. A wiser question is: how can I be ready? Only Allah knows when it will come.
Fact: What is one thing people do to get ready for a big event?
Ages 5–8: Ready bag. Pack a pretend bag for a trip. What do you need to be ready?
Ages 9–12: Better questions. Turn three "when" questions into "how can I prepare" questions.
Finish with: "I found that a good way to get ready is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will ask myself each night, 'What good did I do today?'"
Action: Ask yourself each night, 'What good did you do today?'.
