Start with bismillah.

Ask: "How do we know Allah sees us, even though we cannot see Him?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which name of Allah is mentioned in this ayah?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the ayah say ar-Rahman here?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Qaf is surah 50. Find ayah 33. The key words bi-qalbin munib mean with a heart that turns back. These people were in awe of ar-Rahman, the Most Merciful, even though they had never seen Him. Their fear was not scary; it was love and respect that made them want to please Him.

Fact: What does ar-Rahman mean?

Ages 5–8: Heart drawing. Draw a heart and write inside it one way to please Allah.

Ages 9–12: Unseen but known. Write three things we cannot see but know are real, like air.

Finish with: "I found that ar-Rahman means ___."

• Why is awe of Allah mixed with love?
