بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
Bal' ʻajibū 'an jā'ahum mmundhirun mmin'hum' faqāla l-kāfirūna hādhā shay''un ʻajībun
But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing!

They were amazed that a warner came from among their own people.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why might Allah send a human messenger rather than an angel?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What surprised the disbelievers?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it helpful that the Prophet was one of us?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Qaf is surah 50. Find ayah 2. The key word mundhir means a warner. The people of Makkah were amazed that Allah chose a man they knew, someone who ate, walked in the markets and lived among them. But that is the point: a human messenger can show us how to live, step by step.
Fact: How many prophets are named in the Quran?
Ages 5–8: Prophet list. With a grown-up, write the names of five prophets you know.
Ages 9–12: Role model. Write about one thing the Prophet did every day that you can copy.
Finish with: "I found that ___ prophets are named in the Quran."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will copy one habit of the Prophet, like smiling at people."
Action: Copy one habit of the Prophet, like smiling at people.
