Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What would I like my recorders to write about me today?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Qaf is surah 50. Find ayah 17. The key word al-mutalaqqiyan means the two who receive and record. Scholars say these are two angels: one writes our good deeds and the other our bad deeds. We cannot see them, but knowing they are there helps us choose good words and actions.

Ages 5–8: Kind word jar. Fill a jar with paper slips of kind words to use.

Ages 9–12: Word swap. Write three unkind things people say and a kinder way to say each.
