قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
Qul' 'ataʻ'budūna min dūni -llahi mā lā yam'liku lakum' ḍarran walā naf'ʻan . wa-llahu huwa ssamīʻu l-ʻalīmu
Say: "Will ye worship, besides Allah, something which hath no power either to harm or benefit you? But Allah,- He it is that heareth and knoweth all things."

Would you worship besides Allah something that has no power to harm or benefit you, when Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would you ask help from something that can't hear you?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to a reciter reciting Al-Ma'idah, shared by NgajiBareng04.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two names end the ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why worship only One who hears and knows?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'idah is surah 5. Find ayah 76. Only Allah hears every du'a and knows every need. Anything else is helpless without Him.
Fact: As-Sami' means the All-Hearing.
Ages 5–8: Who hears? Whisper a du'a and remember Allah hears it.
Ages 9–12: Real power. Write why only Allah can truly help.
Finish with: "Allah is As-Sami', the All-___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make a quiet du'a every night."
Action: Make a quiet du'a every night.
