أَفَحُكْمَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حُكْمًۭا لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ
'Afaḥuk'ma l-jāhiliyyati yab'ghūna . waman' 'aḥ'sanu mina -llahi ḥuk'man lliqaw'min yūqinūna
Do they then seek after a judgment of (the days of) ignorance? But who, for a people whose faith is assured, can give better judgment than Allah?

Some people prefer the unfair rules of ignorance, yet for people of firm faith, no one judges better than Allah.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Whose rules would you trust most?"
Begin Muhammad Al-Luhaidan's Al-Ma'idah on محمد اللحیدان♥️ and listen for a few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What kind of judgment do some want?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What was the 'judgment of ignorance'?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ma'idah is surah 5. Find ayah 50. Before Islam, rules often favoured the rich and strong. Allah's rules are fair for everyone. Believers trust Allah's wisdom.
Fact: Jahiliyyah means the time of ignorance before Islam.
Ages 5–8: Fair rules. Compare a fair rule with an unfair one.
Ages 9–12: Allah's justice. Write one way Islam made things fairer.
Finish with: "Jahiliyyah means the time of ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make sure rules in my games are fair."
Action: Make sure rules in your games are fair.
