Start with bismillah.

Ask: "How can we thank Allah for making us Muslim?"

Watch the Alif Baa Taa Kids video Thank You Allah - Little Adam.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who really did the favour?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is being guided such a big gift?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hujurat is surah 49. Find ayah 17. The key word yamunnun means they count it as a favour. Some people thought they were doing the Prophet a favour by becoming Muslim. Allah corrects this: guidance is His gift to us, not our gift to Him. A grateful heart thanks Allah for every step of faith.

Fact: What are three blessings that come with being guided?

Ages 5–8: Gift box. Draw a gift box and write "guidance" on it, with a thank-you note to Allah.

Ages 9–12: Grateful letter. Write a short letter thanking Allah for one way faith helps you.

Finish with: "I found that three blessings of guidance are ___."

Talk together:

• Why is guidance a gift and not something we give?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can we show gratitude for being Muslim?
• Who helped you learn about Islam?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank the person who teaches me about Islam."

• Thank your Islam teacher.
• Draw a gift box.
• Share your grateful letter.
• Next time: the last ayah (49:18) says Allah sees everything. Explore it together!

Action: Thank the person who teaches you about Islam.
