Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When did those who stayed behind want to join?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is it unfair to skip the hard part but want the reward?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Fath is surah 48. Find ayah 15. The key word maghanim means gains. The people who made excuses before now wanted to join only because rewards were coming. When told no, they accused the believers of jealousy. Sincere people help in hard times too, not just easy ones.

Fact: What does it mean to be sincere?

Ages 5–8: Team helper. Help tidy up after a game, not just play it.

Ages 9–12: Hard and easy. Write about a time you helped with the hard part, not just the fun part.

Finish with: "I found that being sincere means ___."

Talk together:

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How does jealousy cause problems?
• How can we help even when there's no reward?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will help with a hard job without being asked."
