وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا
Wa lillahi mul'ku ssamāwāti wal-'ar'ḍi . yagh'firu liman yashā'u wayuʻadhdhibu man yashā'u . wakāna -llahu ghafūran rraḥīman
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

All the skies and the earth belong to Allah; He forgives or punishes as He wills, and He is always ready to forgive and show mercy.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does it feel when you make a mistake and someone forgives you?"
Watch the Sunnah Star Kids video Allah's Mercy Calls You.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How does this ayah end?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the ayah end with forgiveness?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Fath is surah 48. Find ayah 14. The key words ghafuran rahima mean Forgiving and Merciful. Everything belongs to Allah, and He decides with complete fairness. Even after a warning, the ayah ends with His forgiveness and mercy, inviting everyone to turn back.
Fact: What does the name al-Ghafur mean?
Ages 5–8: Mercy jar. Add a bead for every time you forgive someone this week.
Ages 9–12: Mercy notes. Write about one way Allah's mercy appears in your life.
Finish with: "I found that al-Ghafur means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will forgive someone quickly, hoping Allah forgives me."
Action: Forgive someone quickly, hoping Allah forgives you.
