وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَخْسَرُ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
Wa lillahi mul'ku ssamāwāti wal-'ar'ḍi . wayaw'ma taqūmu ssāʻatu yaw'ma'idhin yakh'saru l-mub'ṭilūna
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and the Day that the Hour of Judgment is established,- that Day will the dealers in Falsehood perish!

The kingdom of the skies and the earth belongs to Allah, and on the Day the Hour comes, those who followed falsehood will lose.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How big do you think our solar system is?"
Watch the Jared Owen video How big is the Solar System? (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who owns the skies and the earth?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "If Allah owns everything, what do I really own?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Jathiyah is surah 45. Find ayah 27. The key word mulk means kingdom, ownership. Our solar system is so big that light takes hours to cross it, and it is only a tiny part of the universe. All of it belongs to Allah. People who chased lies instead of the truth will be the losers when the Hour comes.
Fact: How long does sunlight take to reach the farthest planet?
Ages 5–8: Borrowed things. List things you use that really belong to Allah, like your eyes and hands.
Ages 9–12: Scale model. Use a toilet-roll strip to show the distances of the planets from the sun.
Finish with: "I found that sunlight takes about ___ hours to reach Neptune."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look after my belongings as gifts lent by Allah."
Action: Look after your belongings as gifts lent by Allah.
