Start with bismillah.

Ask: "What do you know about Prophet Sulayman and the ants?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What three gifts did Allah give them?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah give some prophets kingdoms too?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Jathiyah is surah 45. Find ayah 16. The key words al-hukma wan-nubuwwah mean wisdom and prophethood. Allah sent many prophets to the Children of Israel, including Musa, Dawud, Sulayman and 'Isa. Dawud and Sulayman were both prophets and wise kings. Allah gave the people good food and honour in their time. Every gift is also a test of how it is used.

Fact: What did the ant say when Sulayman's army came?

Ages 5–8: Ant watch. Watch ants for five minutes and describe how they work together.

Ages 9–12: Wise ruler. Write three qualities of a wise leader, using Dawud or Sulayman as an example.

Finish with: "I found that the ant said ___."

Talk together:

• What made Dawud and Sulayman good leaders?
• What gifts has Allah given your family?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will use one of my gifts, like a talent, to help others."
