مَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَآءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ
Man' ʻamila ṣāliḥan falinaf'sihī . waman' 'assā'a faʻalay'hā . thumma 'ilā rabbikum' tur'jaʻūna
If any one does a righteous deed, it ensures to the benefit of his own soul; if he does evil, it works against (his own soul). In the end will ye (all) be brought back to your Lord.

Whoever does good does it for themselves, and whoever does wrong does it against themselves, and then you will be returned to your Lord.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever done something kind and felt it come back to you?"
Watch the Daniel Yam short film Ripple.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who benefits from a good deed?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does a good deed help me?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Jathiyah is surah 45. Find ayah 15. The key words fa-li-nafsihi mean it is for their own self. When we do good, it helps others, but it helps us most: it softens our hearts, builds our character and earns reward. Wrongdoing hurts the doer most. In the end we all return to Allah.
Fact: What happens to ripples when you drop a stone in a pond?
Ages 5–8: Ripple drop. Drop a pebble in water and watch the ripples spread.
Ages 9–12: Kindness ripple. Do a kind act and write down any ripples you notice.
Finish with: "I found that ripples ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will start a kindness ripple at school or home."
Action: Start a kindness ripple at school or home.
