لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
Lā yadhūqūna fīhā l-maw'ta 'illā l-maw'tata l-'ūlā . wawaqāhum' ʻadhāba l-jaḥīmi
Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,-

Ask: "What does Jannah mean?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will they never taste again?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What would it be like if good times never ended?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ad-Dukhan is surah 44. Find ayah 56. The key words la yadhuquna mean they will not taste. In this world, every good thing ends: holidays, sweets, even life. In Jannah, there is no more death and no ending. And Allah protects its people from the Fire. This is the greatest good news.

Ages 5–8: Forever list. List things you wish could last forever.
Ages 9–12: End and endless. Compare something that ends on earth with how it will be in Jannah.
Finish with: "I found that Jannah means ___."
Talk together:
