It will be the food of the sinful.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do the foods we choose affect our bodies?"
Watch the Tutoring Hour video Healthy vs. Unhealthy Foods Quiz for Kids.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who will eat from the bitter tree?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do my choices now affect what I find later?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ad-Dukhan is surah 44. Find ayah 44. The key words ta'am al-athim mean food of the sinful one. Just as healthy food makes our bodies strong and junk food can harm them, good deeds and bad deeds bring their own results. The ayah warns that those who choose sin will find bitterness waiting.
Fact: Which food group gives us the most energy?
Ages 5–8: Plate builder. Draw a healthy plate with five different foods.
Ages 9–12: Choice results. Write how one food choice and one deed choice both bring results.
Finish with: "I found that ___ give the most energy."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will choose fruit instead of sweets once a day."
Action: Choose fruit instead of sweets once a day.
