4-I guide
I have taken refuge with my Lord and your Lord in case you try to stone me.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Where do you feel safest?"
Watch the Tiny Sparks Stories video Seek Refuge: Nighttime Protection.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "With whom did Musa seek safety?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah protect people who ask Him?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ad-Dukhan is surah 44. Find ayah 20. The key word 'udhtu means I took refuge. Musa faced threats from a powerful king, but he was not alone: he asked Allah, "my Lord and your Lord", for protection. Notice that he reminded Pharaoh that Allah was Pharaoh's Lord too. The last two surahs of the Quran also teach us to seek refuge with Allah.
Fact: Which two surahs are known as the surahs of seeking refuge?
Ages 5–8: Safe place. Draw a picture of you under a big umbrella labelled "Allah's protection".
Ages 9–12: My Lord and yours. Write why Musa said "my Lord and your Lord" to Pharaoh.
Finish with: "I found that the two surahs are ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will recite the last two surahs before going out."
Action: Recite the last two surahs before going out.
