4-I guide
It will cover the people, and that is a painful punishment.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What is it like to walk in thick fog?"
Watch the Little School video Fog.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who will the smoke cover?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do people find their way when they can't see?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ad-Dukhan is surah 44. Find ayah 11. The key words yaghsha an-nas mean it covers the people. When fog or smoke covers everything, it is hard to see and hard to breathe. The ayah describes this as a painful punishment. It reminds us how much we need Allah's light and guidance to see clearly.
Fact: What is the difference between fog and smoke?
Ages 5–8: Foggy window. Breathe on a cold window and draw in the fog.
Ages 9–12: Finding the way. Write how sailors and pilots find their way in fog.
Finish with: "I found that fog is made of ___, but smoke is made of ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will ask Allah for guidance whenever I feel unsure."
Action: Ask Allah for guidance whenever you feel unsure.
