Start with bismillah.

Ask: "How did the Prophet treat people who were unkind to him?"

Watch The Little Believers story Prophet Mohammed and the Old Lady.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the Prophet say to his Lord?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why was the Prophet sad when people didn't believe?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 88. The key word qilihi means his saying. The Prophet cared so much for his people that it hurt him when they refused to believe. He told Allah about his sadness. Allah heard him. We can also tell Allah when we are sad about others.

Fact: What is the Prophet called in the Quran because of his mercy?

Ages 5–8: Kindness back. Do something kind for someone who was unkind to you.

Ages 9–12: Caring heart. Write how the Prophet showed he cared, even for people who hurt him.

Finish with: "I found that the Prophet is called a ___ to the worlds."

Talk together:

• Why did the Prophet feel sad for his people?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can we care about people who are unkind?
• What would you like to tell Allah about?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will make du'a for someone who was unkind to me."

• Make du'a for someone unkind.
• Give kindness back.
• Share caring heart.
• Next time: the last ayah (43:89) says turn away and say peace. Explore it together!

Action: Make du'a for someone who was unkind to you.
