Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How did Pharaoh treat his people's minds?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I avoid being fooled?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 54. The key word fastakhaffa means he made them light-headed, he fooled them. Pharaoh used flashy words and boasts to make his people stop thinking, and they followed him. Allah gave us minds to think, ask and check. Thinking for ourselves protects us from being fooled.
Fact: What is a fake photo, and how can people spot one?
Ages 5–8: Real or pretend? Look at pictures and guess which are real and which are made up.
Ages 9–12: Think check. Write three questions to ask before believing something online.
Finish with: "I found that you can spot a fake photo by ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will check one thing I see online with a grown-up."
Action: Check one thing you see online with a grown-up.
