فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ
Falammā kashaf'nā ʻan'humu l-ʻadhāba 'idhā hum' yankuthūna
But when We removed the Penalty from them, behold, they broke their word.

But when We lifted the hardship from them, they broke their promise.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What does it mean to be trustworthy?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they do once things got better?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is breaking a promise so serious?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 50. The key word yankuthun means they break. Every time Musa prayed and the hardship ended, Pharaoh's people broke their promise to believe. Breaking promises destroys trust. Amanah, trustworthiness, means people can rely on what we say.
Fact: What does the word amanah mean?
Ages 5–8: Trust test. Look after something for a family member for a day and return it safely.
Ages 9–12: Trust builder. Write five things that make someone trustworthy.
Finish with: "I found that amanah means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look after something lent to me and return it on time."
Action: Look after something lent to you and return it on time.
