وَزُخْرُفًۭا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Wa zukh'rufan . wa'in kullu dhālika lammā matāʻu l-ḥayāti ddun'yā . wal-'ākhiratu ʻinda rabbika lil'muttaqīna
And also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: The Hereafter, in the sight of thy Lord is for the Righteous.

and ornaments of gold; yet all this is only enjoyment of this life, and the next life with your Lord is for the mindful.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What kind of home are we building for the next life?"
Watch the Noor Kids story The Home We Build With Our Good Deeds.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is the next life for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do good deeds build a home?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 35. The key word zukhruf means gold ornaments, and it gives the surah its name. Gold glitters, but it is only for a short time in this life. What lasts is the next life, which Allah saves for the muttaqin, those who are mindful of Him.
Fact: What does the word muttaqin mean?
Ages 5–8: Deed bricks. Build a paper house, adding a brick for each good deed.
Ages 9–12: Short or forever. Make a chart comparing gold in this life with rewards in the next.
Finish with: "I found that muttaqin means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will add a 'brick' to my next-life home every day."
Action: Add a 'brick' to your next-life home every day.
