بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
Bal' mattaʻ'tu hā'ulā'i wa'ābā'ahum' ḥattā jā'ahumu l-ḥaqqu warassūlun mmubīnun
Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear.

Yet I let these people and their forefathers enjoy life until the truth and a clear messenger came to them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What blessings did you enjoy today?"
Watch the Deen and Daily Life video Be Thankful For Everything.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah give them until the truth came?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah give blessings even to people who don't thank Him?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 29. The key word matta'tu means I gave enjoyment. Allah gave the people of Makkah food, safety and trade for generations, even before they believed. His generosity reaches everyone. Then He sent the clearest gift: the truth and a messenger to explain it.
Fact: What made Makkah a busy trading city?
Ages 5–8: Blessing count. Count ten blessings before bedtime.
Ages 9–12: Gift for all. Write why Allah's generosity reaches people who don't thank Him.
Finish with: "I found that Makkah was busy because ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will count ten blessings before sleeping."
Action: Count ten blessings before sleeping.
