Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the ayah call the angels?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can we know about angels if we can't see them?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 19. The key words 'ibad ar-rahman mean servants of the Most Merciful. Angels are created from light and always obey Allah. They are not Allah's children and not male or female like us. The ayah asks: did you see them being created? We only know about the unseen from what Allah tells us.

Ages 5–8: What we know. Make a list of things we know about angels from the Quran.

Ages 9–12: Knowledge check. Write the difference between knowing something and guessing about it.

Finish with: "I found that angels are created from ___."

Talk together:

• Why is it wrong to speak about the unseen without knowledge?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What do angels do?
• How do we learn about things we cannot see?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will say 'I don't know' instead of guessing about things I'm unsure of."
