4-I guide
This surah opens with the two letters Ha and Mim, whose full meaning is with Allah.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Where does gold come from?"
Watch the Knowledge scoop video how is gold formed.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What are the two opening letters?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why might a surah be named after gold?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43, and it has eighty-nine ayat. The key word az-zukhruf means gold ornaments, from ayah 35. People treasure gold, but the surah teaches that gold is only a small, passing thing next to Allah's mercy. It is the fifth of seven Ha Mim surahs that sit together in the mushaf.
Fact: Why doesn't gold rust?
Ages 5–8: Real treasure. Draw a treasure chest and fill it with things worth more than gold, like family and good deeds.
Ages 9–12: Gold facts. Find three facts about how gold is made and mined.
Finish with: "I found that gold doesn't rust because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will name one thing each day that is worth more than gold."
Action: Name one thing each day that is worth more than gold.
