وَيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَٰتِنَا مَا لَهُم مِّن مَّحِيصٍۢ
Wa yaʻ'lama -lladhīna yujādilūna fī 'āyātinā mā lahum mmin mmaḥīṣin
But let those know, who dispute about Our Signs, that there is for them no way of escape.

And so those who argue against Our signs will know that there is no way out for them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Where do you see Allah's signs every day?"
Watch the Salam Muslim Kids video Signs of Allah in Nature. (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What will those who argue against the signs find out?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do some people ignore clear signs?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shura is surah 42. Find ayah 35. The key word mahis means an escape or way out. Ships, wind, rain and creatures are signs pointing to Allah. Some people argue against them instead of thinking. One day they will see clearly, but it will be too late to escape. Pondering the signs now opens our hearts.
Fact: What does the name Ash-Shura mean, and which ayah gives the surah its name?
Ages 5–8: Sign spotting. Go outside and point out five signs of Allah, saying subhanAllah each time.
Ages 9–12: Sign poster. Make a poster of the signs mentioned in ayat 28 to 34 of this surah.
Finish with: "I found that the name comes from ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will point out one sign of Allah to someone at home each day."
Action: Point out one sign of Allah to someone at home each day.
