Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah do with many of our mistakes?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah forgive so much?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shura is surah 42. Find ayah 30. The key word yafu means He pardons. Some troubles come from our own choices, like a tummy ache after too many sweets. This ayah teaches us to look at our own actions honestly instead of blaming others. Yet Allah, Al-Afuww, pardons most of our mistakes without any consequence at all.

Fact: What does the Arabic name Al-Afuww mean?

Ages 5–8: Cause and effect. Line up blocks and push the first one, then talk about how actions lead to results.

Ages 9–12: Own it. Write about one mistake you made, what it caused, and how you could fix it.

Finish with: "I found that Al-Afuww means ___."

Talk together:

• Why is it good to look at our own actions first?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How do you fix a mistake you made?
• How does Allah show He pardons a lot?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, when something goes wrong, I will first ask what I can do better."
