Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah do to falsehood?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does the truth come out in the end?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shura is surah 42. Find ayah 24. The key word yamhu means He wipes out. Some people said the Prophet made up the Quran. Allah answers that He wipes out what is false and makes the truth firm. Lies may seem strong for a while, but they fade, like chalk washed away by rain. Allah knows what is hidden in every heart.

Fact: What was a wax seal used for on letters long ago?

Ages 5–8: Chalk and rain. Draw with chalk and pour water on it to see it wash away, then talk about lies.

Ages 9–12: True story. Write a short story where a lie is found out and the truth wins.

Finish with: "I found that a wax seal was used to ___."

Talk together:

• Why do lies not last?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How does it feel to tell the truth when it is hard?
• What does Allah know that others do not?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will tell the truth even when it is hard."
