ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ
Alladhīna lā yu''tūna zzakāta wahum bil-'ākhirati hum' kāfirūna
Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter.

They are those who do not pay zakat and reject the life to come.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does it feel to share something you love?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two things did these people refuse?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does giving make wealth pure?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Fussilat is surah 41. Find ayah 7. The key word az-zakah means purifying charity, one of the five pillars of Islam. Zakat is a set share of savings given to people in need each year. It cleans our wealth and our hearts from greed. People who do not believe in the Akhirah often hold on tightly to their money.
Fact: What share of savings is usually given as zakat?
Ages 5–8: Share box. Decorate a box and put in a coin or toy to give away.
Ages 9–12: Zakat maths. If someone has 1,000 in savings for a year, work out the zakat.
Finish with: "I found that zakat is usually ___ of savings."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will give something from my own money or things to someone in need."
Action: Give something from your own money or things to someone in need.
