فَإِن يَصْبِرُوا۟ فَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًۭى لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟ فَمَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ
Fa'in yaṣ'birū fa nnāru math'wan llahum' . wa'in yas'taʻ'tibū famā hum mmina l-muʻ'tabīna
If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received.

Whether they bear it patiently, the Fire is their home, and if they beg for pardon, they will not be excused.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why is it better to fix a mistake now than later?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Will asking for pardon help then?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is now the time to turn to Allah?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Fussilat is surah 41. Find ayah 24. The key word yasta'tibu means they ask to be excused. In this life, Allah accepts sincere apologies at any time. But after this life ends, the chance to ask for pardon will be over. This is why believers turn to Allah now, while the door is open.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Mu'minun tells of someone asking to go back to do good?
Ages 5–8: Now jar. Write small good jobs on slips, pick one and do it right now.
Ages 9–12: Today, not tomorrow. Write one thing you keep putting off and a plan to do it today.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Al-Mu'minun ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do one good thing I keep putting off."
Action: Do one good thing you keep putting off.
