Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ghafir is surah 40. Find ayah 3. The key words ghafir adh-dhanb mean forgiver of sin. This ayah lists Allah's qualities like a beautiful chain: He forgives sins, accepts those who turn back, is fair and firm with those who refuse, and is full of generosity. Forgiveness and mercy come first, giving us great hope.
