أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ ٱلضَّلَٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ
'Alam' tara 'ilā-lladhīna 'ūtū naṣīban mmina l-kitābi yash'tarūna ḍḍalālata wayurīdūna 'an taḍillū ssabīla
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were given a portion of the Book? they traffic in error, and wish that ye should lose the right path.

Some who had been given part of the scripture traded guidance for error and wanted the believers to lose their way too.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would you trade something precious for something worthless?"
Today's clip is Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 41–50 on Holy Qur'an-القرآن الكريم. Close your eyes and think about 'Buying Misguidance'.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they buy?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would someone want others to lose their way?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nisa' is surah 4. Find ayah 44. The Qur'an warns about choosing error over guidance. Believers hold on to the right path and are not swayed.
Fact: Al-Baqarah 2:16 is about buying error with guidance.
Ages 5–8: Precious things. Talk about what is truly precious.
Ages 9–12: Guidance first. Write why guidance is worth more than anything.
Finish with: "Guidance is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will hold firm to something right."
Action: Hold firm to something right.
