وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَٰشِفَٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦٓ أَوْ أَرَادَنِى بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَٰتُ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
How to read it
Wa la'in sa'altahum mman' khalaqa ssamāwāti wal-'ar'ḍa layaqūlunna -llahu . qul' 'afara'ay'tum mmā tad'ʻūna min dūni -llahi 'in' 'arādaniya -llahu biḍurrin hal' hunna kāshifātu ḍurrihī 'aw' 'arādanī biraḥ'matin hal' hunna mum'sikātu raḥ'matihī . qul' ḥas'biya -llahu . ʻalay'hi yatawakkalu l-mutawakkilūna
If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "Allah". Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."
