Qul' 'innī 'akhāfu 'in' ʻaṣay'tu rabbī ʻadhāba yaw'min ʻaẓīmin
Say: "I would, if I disobeyed my Lord, indeed have fear of the Penalty of a Mighty Day."

Say: If I were to disobey my Lord, I would fear the punishment of a tremendous Day.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can we love someone and also be careful not to upset them?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the Prophet fear?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I love Allah and be in awe of Him?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zumar is surah 39. Find ayah 13. The key word akhafu means I fear. Even the Prophet, the most beloved to Allah, was mindful of the great Day. This is not a scary fear, but love mixed with awe, like not wanting to disappoint someone you love deeply. It keeps us careful and hopeful.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Mulk promises forgiveness to those who are in awe of their Lord unseen?
Ages 5–8: Love map. Draw a heart and write inside it why you love Allah.
Ages 9–12: Careful because I care. Write how caring about someone makes you careful about how you act.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Al-Mulk ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will think before doing something I'm unsure about."
Action: Think before doing something you're unsure about.
