Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah command the angels to do?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Was the prostration to Adam worship?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 72. The key word ruh means spirit or soul. After shaping Adam, Allah gave him a soul. The 'spirit from Me' means a soul that Allah created and honoured, not a part of Allah; Allah is not made of parts. Then He commanded the angels to bow down to Adam. This was not worship; it was obeying Allah and honouring the new creation. Worship is only for Allah. Humans were honoured with a soul, knowledge and choice.

Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Baqarah tells of the angels prostrating to Adam?

Ages 5–8: Honour a guest. Practise welcoming a guest at home with a smile and a seat.

Ages 9–12: Honour or worship? Write the difference between honouring someone and worshipping Allah.

Finish with: "I found that it is Al-Baqarah ayah ___."
