'Idh' qāla rabbuka lil'malā'ikati 'innī khāliqun[m] basharan mmin ṭīnin
Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay:

Recall when your Lord said to the angels: I am going to create a human from clay.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What can you make out of clay or play dough?"
Watch the Tiny Sparks Stories video Adam: First Human, Forgiveness and Lessons.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah tell the angels?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah make the first human from clay?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 71. The key word tin means clay, wet earth. Allah told the angels He would create a human being from clay. Adam was the first human and the first prophet. Our bodies still contain many of the same elements found in the earth, a sign to ponder about where we came from.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Ar-Rahman says humans were made from clay like pottery?
Ages 5–8: Clay creations. Make a small pot from clay or dough and talk about how Allah created Adam without any tools.
Ages 9–12: Earth in us. Find out three minerals in soil that are also in the human body, like iron and calcium.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Ar-Rahman ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will treat everyone kindly, remembering we all come from Adam."
Action: Treat everyone kindly, remembering we all come from Adam.
