Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two names of Allah end this ayah?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah keep forgiving us?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 66. The key word al-Ghaffar means the One who forgives over and over again. Allah is Al-Aziz, the Almighty, who could punish anyone instantly. Yet He chooses to forgive again and again. Power joined with forgiveness is something only Allah has completely.

Fact: Which surah begins by calling Allah the Forgiver of sins and gets its name from that?

Ages 5–8: Strong and soft. Hold a heavy book and a soft feather and talk about Allah being mighty and forgiving.

Ages 9–12: Forgiving power. Write why forgiving when you are strong is harder and more beautiful.

Finish with: "I found that the surah is ___, number ___."

Talk together:

• Why is it amazing that the Almighty is also the Forgiving?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can you forgive when you are in charge?
• What does Allah own between the heavens and earth?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will forgive a younger sibling or friend instead of getting even."
