Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Is it fair if a student who studied hard and one who cheated get the same reward?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which two pairs of people are compared?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Will every good deed count?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 28. The key word al-muttaqin means the mindful, people who are careful to please Allah. Allah asks: would it be fair to treat people who do good the same as people who spread harm? Of course not. Allah is completely just, and every good deed, even a small smile, is counted.

Ages 5–8: Garden of deeds. Draw a garden and add a flower for every good deed you do this week.

Ages 9–12: Two paths. Draw two paths and write what each type of person does along the way.

Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Fatir ___."

Talk together:

• Why is it unfair to treat good and harm as the same?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• What does a mindful person do?
• Which small good deed can you do every day?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will add one flower to my deeds garden every day."
