And We left him a lasting good name among those who came later.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How would you like people to remember you?"
Watch the Mini Muslim Audio Library video Nuh's Ark, a nasheed.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah leave for Nuh among later people?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do we still remember Nuh today?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 78. The key word al-akhirin means the later generations. Thousands of years later, people still remember Nuh with respect. This same ayah is repeated in the surah for Ibrahim, Musa, Harun and Ilyas. A good name that lasts comes from sincere, patient service to Allah.
Fact: How many times does this ayah about leaving a good name among later generations appear in Surah As-Saffat?
Ages 5–8: Kind memory. Draw something kind you did that you hope people remember.
Ages 9–12: Legacy plan. Write one good thing you hope to be remembered for.
Finish with: "I found that it appears ___ times."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will do something kind that someone will remember."
Action: Do something kind that someone will remember.
