وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ

Wa qālū yāway'lanā hādhā yaw'mu ddīni
They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!"

Ask: "What does it mean to get back what you put in?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do the deniers realise at last?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does recompense mean?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 20. The key word ad-din here means recompense, being repaid. It is the same word we say in Surah Al-Fatihah: Master of the Day of Recompense. Every day we remind ourselves of this Day when we pray. On that Day every deed is repaid with complete fairness.
Fact: Which ayah of Surah Al-Fatihah mentions the Day of Recompense?
Ages 5–8: Plant and pick. Talk about how the seeds we plant decide what we pick later.
Ages 9–12: Fatihah link. Write how saying this phrase in every salah helps us live better.
