Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why does Allah give people many chances before any punishment?"
Watch the Stories of the Prophets video Prophet Lut.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happened to those who refused?"

Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 136. The key word dammarna means We destroyed. After Lut warned his people for a long time and they mocked him, the town was destroyed. The Quran mentions this in one short line. Allah is patient and gives many chances; turning back to Him is always possible while we live.
Fact: Near which large salty lake do many historians place the towns of Lut's people?
Ages 5–8: Many chances. Count how many chances you get in a game, and talk about how Allah gives many chances too.

Action: Use a fresh chance to fix one mistake.
